The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team will play Henley at 6 p.m. Friday in their first game of the Sky-Em/Skyline Crossover at Siuslaw High School.

All six teams from the Sky-Em League and the Skyline League will compete at the two-day tournament in Florence.

The Lady Vikings (0-11) will play Phoenix (6-5) at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the auxiliary gym.

Henley is 5-5 and is coming off a 42-39 victory Saturday over Sisters in the consolation bracket of the three-day Sisters Holiday Shootout.

"Practices are going well," Siuslaw coach Aaron McNeill said. "The girls are still working hard and wanting to get better.

"We are all disappointed with losing, but can see progress being made. We are all staying positive as we move forward."

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students K-12 each day, and available online only at bit.ly/siuslawtickets.

Masks are required.

"Siuslaw School District is enacting a policy where we will pause or not start contests when all players, coaches and spectators are not complying with masking requirements," according to a tournament release from Siuslaw athletic director Chris Johnson.

Siuslaw opens Sky-Em League play Friday, Jan. 14, at Marist.
