Thursday is Senior Night for the Siuslaw Vikings wrestling team as well as a dual-meet showdown with the Stayton Eagles.

The first match is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Four of the six Vikings seniors are members of the girls team — Chris Hoover, Hayden Muller, Brooke Olson and Bailey Overton.

John Corser and Jesus Garcia are members of the boys team.

Regional meets are next for the Vikings.

The Lady Vikings compete Saturday in the Girls Southern Regional at Cottage Grove. Competition begins at 10 a.m.

The 6A-1A girls state championships are Thursday, Feb. 24, at Culver High School.

Each of the four districts (regions) qualify three wrestlers for state to fill a 12-person bracket in 14 weight classes.

Siuslaw will host the boys' Class 4A District 2 Regional on Saturday, Feb. 12. Competition begins at 10 a.m.

Each of the four districts will send four qualifiers to fill a 16-person bracket in 14 weight classes to state.

The state championships are Feb. 25-26 at Cascade High School in Turner.
