Thursday will be a significant senior moment for the Siuslaw Vikings and Marshfield Pirates boys basketball teams at Glenn Butler Court.

Of the 23 players on the two teams' rosters, 20 are seniors — 9 of 12 Vikings and all 11 Pirates.

Tip-off is 5:45 p.m.

The two schools, league mates for more than a decade in the Far West League and Sky-Em, may be facing off for the last time as members of the same league.

The Vikings will be playing their fourth game in as many nights. Siuslaw completes its season and its five-game-in-five-nights schedule Friday at Cottage Grove.

Siuslaw will enter Thursday's game with a 7-13 overall record, 1-7 in the Sky-Em, following a 81-37 loss Wednesday on Senior Night to visiting Marist.

Marshfield is 19-4 and 7-1 and ranked No. 2 in the OSAAtoday 4A coaches poll and No. 3 in the OSAA computer rankings.

Siuslaw heads to the 3A Mountain Valley Conference next fall, while Marshfield will remain in a reconfigured 4A Sky-Em League.
