Pairings set for 4A boys and girls playoffs

The Sky-Em League's Junction City, Marshfield, Marist and Cottage Grove boys and girls teams have qualified for the Oregon School Activities Association Class 4A basketball postseason.

Siuslaw and Elmira — both headed to the Class 3A Mountain Valley Conference next fall — both missed out.

The Junction City boys are the No. 1 overall seed and Marshfield No. 3 and are among eight automatic qualifiers — the six league champions and the top two league No. 2 teams.

The Junction City girls are the No. 4 seed, joining seven other automatic qualifiers.

In boys play-in games, Marist hosts Klamath Union and Cottage Grove is at Molalla.

In girls play-in games, Marist hosts Klamath Union, Marshfield hosts Sweet Home and Cottage Grove is at Stayton.

The eight boys and girls play-in winners travel to the eight automatic qualifiers in the first round of the final 16-team bracket. Pairings will be determined based on play-in results.

The first-round winners advance to Marshfield and North Bend, which will host both the boys and girls quarterfinals, semifinals and finals March 10-12.
