Siuslaw Middle School track and field opens practice Monday, and the school still is seeking a head coach.

"I am reaching out to anybody who would be interested in coaching Siuslaw Middle School track and field," athletic director Jeromy Graybill announced in an email.

"We do have two assistant coaches, but no head coach. This could put our season in jeopardy if we can't find anybody to head coach."

Practice begins at 3:45 p.m. at the track behind the high school. That will be were the athletes should be picked up after practice.

"Make sure you have an updated sports physical on file," Graybill noted for prospective team members. "I am finishing up approving people on familyID, and if they don't have an updated physical, they cannot participate. The front office will have them on file."
