Siuslaw Vikings freshman Ryan Klampe was third overall in boys individual and the Lady Vikings placed third Thursday in the Siuslaw Invitational at the Florence Golf Links.

Thurston swept both the boys and girls team titles in the eight-school event, according to Saturday's story in the Register-Guard.

Thurston sophomore Peyton Wiedenmann shot a 3-over-par 75 for boys medalist honors, with teammate Kellen Humphries second at 79.

Klampe and North Eugene senior Preston Brandy shard third place at 82.

Thurston was first with a team score of 327, North Eugene second with 385 and Springfield third with 391.

Individual medalist Olivia Grandberry shot a 62 over nine holes to lead the Lady Colts to victory.

Thurston won the girls title with 197, followed by North Bend at 198 and Siuslaw at 214.

Siuslaw's next event is Wednesday, April 6, at Emerald Valley Golf Course in Creswell.
