Siuslaw Vikings volleyball star Desiree Tupua is headed to the national championships, and needs some help.

Tupua, a Siuslaw junior, is a member of the Webfoot Junior 18s Brian team that has qualified for the 2022 USA Volleyball Girls 18s Junior National Championships in Phoenix, AZ.

The event is April 22-24 at the Phoenix Events Center.

"These girls are not only representing their Webfoot Club team, but also representing their local high school on their recruiting profile," Desiree's mother, Aliitasi Tupua, said.

"Desi's dream and goal is to get an athletic or academic scholarship, majoring in business management and social work," her mother said.

"It's an honor to be born and raised in a small town like Florence. We have the opportunity to chase our goals, work hard and dream big dreams."
