Siuslaw senior Camp Lacouture has had some big days in a Vikings uniform, and Tuesday's Sky-Em League JV Meet was one of them.

Lacouture had personal records in three events, winning the 110 hurdles in 19.28a, placing second in the high jump at 5 feet, 6 inches and placing second in the pole vault at 14-3.

The pole vault was particularly impressive, in that Lacouture tied Chris Vgood (2003) for No. 4 all-time in school history for the event.

Collin Cram holds the school record of 15-6.5, set in 2004, while Eric Daniel and Brandon Lockman share No. 2 at 14-10, both n 1999.

It also was a big night for juniors Hunter Petterson and Jonathan Rose.

Pettersen ran a PR 23.44a in the 200 for the top mark in Class 4A this season, while Rose won the shot put with a PR 42-0 for the fifth-best mark in 4A.

Marshfield's boys and girls teams won team titles in the four-school event, with the Siuslaw boys taking second and the girls third.

The Vikings are at the 10-school AMJ Invitational on Saturday, with competition underway at 10:30 a.m. at McKenzie.

Siuslaw is the only 4A school entered, competing against 2A Jefferson and Lowell and 1A C.S. Lewis Academy, Crow, Mapleton, McKenzie, Mohawk, Triangle Lake and Yoncalla.

Siuslaw has one home meet remaining this season, the Central Coast Invitational on Friday, April 22.
