Marist pitcher Malia Williams struck out all nine batters she faced Wednesday to fire Marist to a three-inning, 17-0 victory over the Siuslaw Vikings in a Sky-Em League softball opener in Eugene.

Marist (8-1) has outscored its opponents 94-6 this season. The Lady Spartans are No. 1 in the OSAAtoday coaches poll and No. 2 in the OSAA rankings behind 7-3 Cascade.

The Lady Vikings (0-6) entertain Junction City in a twin bill at 3 p.m. Friday at the Siuslaw High School field.
