Siuslaw junior Hunter Petterson won the 100 and 200 meters with personal records and senior Camp Lacouture the 300 hurdles and pole vault Thursday to lead the Vikings boys to first place in the Philomath Invitational track and field meet.

Petterson won the 100 11.51a and the 200 in 23.02a. He also ran the first leg of the winning 4x100 relay team.

Lacouture won the 300 hurdles in a season-best 45.08a and the pole vault at 13 feet.

The Siuslaw boys had 170.5 points, with host Philomath second in the eight-school field with 107.5 and Cottage Grove third with 106.

Cascade had 79, Sweet Home 67 Newport 66.5, Stayton 43 and Sisters 21.5.

Philomath won the girls title with 172.5, Cascade second with 113 and Newport third with 89.5. Siuslaw was seventh with 40.

Other top marks for Siuslaw included:

• Freshman Wesley Nicholls, third in the 200 in a PR 23.71a and second in the 400 with PR 54.45a.
• Junior Samuel Ulrich, first in the 800 in 2:05.27a and second in the 1,500 in a season-best 4:12.26a.
• Junior Jacob Blankenship, second in the 800 in a PR 2:08.23a and fifth in the 3,000 in a PR 10:07.76a.
• Freshman Maya Wells, first in the 1,500 in a PR 5:19.09a.
• Senior Rylee Colton, first in 3,000 in season-record 11:09.26a.
