Siuslaw Vikings track and field fans have one last chance to watch their favorite student-athletes compete at home.

Friday, the Vikings host their featured annual event, the Central Coast Invitational, at Hans Petersen Memorial Field.

First field event is 4 p.m., first running event 5:30 p.m. Gates open at 3 p.m.

Ten teams have signed up to compete with the Vikings. Entry deadline is 6 p.m. Thursday.

Visiting teams include 1A Days Creek, Mapleton and Riddle; 2A Central Linn, Reedsport and Toledo; 3A Sutherlin and Taft; 4A Marshfield and 5A North Bend.

Admission is $5, students K-12 $3. Purchase tickets online at bit.ly/siuslawtickets.

Some Vikings athletes are expected to competed in the Oregon Relays, to be held Friday and Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene.
