The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club will have a fund-raising auction in September, according Siuslaw athletic director Chris Johnson.

"The SABC auction is a go," Johnson said in an email to Exploding Whale Sports, Coast Radio and the Siuslaw News. "We have co-chairs, a committee and are working on details.

"It will be run in conjunction with the (Siuslaw Athletic Hall of Fame) Induction Ceremony on Sept. 10. Stay tuned for more details."

The SABC has not sponsored an induction ceremony and an auction since summer 2019. The 2019 hall of fame class is still waiting their special moment.

The booster club met Tuesday, and still needs a president, vice president and membership chair.

Siuslaw boys basketball coach Dylan Perry is resigning as vice president. Perry has been serving as the club's point man the past year.

The next SABC meeting is tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the high school library.
