OSAA 4A baseball/softball playoff results


Junction City is the only visiting team to win Wednesday in eight first-round games of the OSAA Class 4A baseball championship playoffs.

The Tigers will be at Hidden Valley on Friday for the state quarterfinals, while Marist will host La Grande.

Mazama is at North Marion and Philomath at No. 1-ranked Banks.

Tillamook, which beat Siuslaw 8-7 in a play-in game, lost to North Marion at Aurora, 5-0.

In the softball playoffs, all eight home teams won. Top-rated Marist is the only Sky-Em League team remaining heading into Friday's quarterfinals.
